On Sunday, I put a deposit in the night drop of the bank. At 9:30 this morning (Monday) I checked my online banking to be sure the deposit was recorded and it wasn’t yet.

At 11 a.m. I checked again and still the deposit wasn’t recorded! I know this bank and I know from experience they VERY OFTEN forget to check their night drop so I called them.

The excuse this time was a classic they haven’t used before.

The lady who normally “writes down” the night deposits is on vacation this week and the person who is taking it over hasn’t had time to “write them in” yet but she will do it right away for you.

TRANSLATION: We didn’t check the night drop yet!

Good thing I wasn’t sitting somewhere at an ATM expecting to withdraw some of that money!
